Set very much in the present, The Power of Three was shot on location in and around Belsize Park, Hampstead, Camden and central London during April 2009 – featuring locations and characters with which the writer, director and producers are intimately familiar. Rather than perceiving their low budget as a constraint, they saw it as a creative challenge, and brought the everyday scenes and characters of Belsize Park and Hampstead vividly and glamorously to the screen.
Central to the film are the three women, each one with her own unfulfilled dream and her personal quest. However, it is only by rediscovering the strength to be found in the bonds of friendship and the loyalty of a larger support network that they overcome largely illusory and self imposed limitations.
